Consult a physiotherapist by video
If there is no physiotherapy clinic within reach of you, a qualified physiotherapist can still assess you and set you an exercise programme over a video call. You need a phone and an internet connection. Nothing else.
We are building the panel now. Requests are matched by hand, and we reply within a day. If we cannot find you a physiotherapist, we will say so plainly instead of leaving you waiting.
What a video consultation can and cannot do
It can
- Work out what is causing your pain, and what is making it worse.
- Give you an exercise programme for home, corrected as you do it on camera.
- Tell you honestly whether you need hands-on treatment and should travel to a clinic.
- Follow up after an operation, when the hospital that operated is far away.
- Show a family member how to help you stand, walk or move safely.
It cannot
- Hands-on treatment: manual therapy, dry needling, taping, or anything with a machine.
- Anything a doctor does. No disease diagnosis, no prescription, no medical certificate.
- Emergency care of any kind.
See a doctor first, not a physiotherapist
Go to a doctor or a hospital straight away if you have any of these. Physiotherapy, in a clinic or on a call, is the wrong first step.
- chest pain or breathlessness
- sudden weakness or numbness in an arm or leg
- loss of control of the bladder or bowel
- a fall or injury where a bone may be broken
- severe back pain with fever

Someone from the panel who has treated your kind of problem and speaks your language. If nobody suitable is free, we tell you so rather than leaving you waiting.
They confirm the time and the fee
The physiotherapist tells you what the consultation costs before it happens, and you pay them directly. PhysioSetu handles no money and takes no commission.
The video call
Usually 20 to 30 minutes. Stand where there is room to move, wear loose clothes, and if someone can hold the phone for you it helps a great deal.
You get the exercises in writing
Sent to you on WhatsApp by the physiotherapist afterwards, so you are not relying on memory.
What it costs
The physiotherapist sets the fee and tells you before the call, and you pay them directly. PhysioSetu takes no commission from them and charges you nothing. If it turns out that a clinic near you is the better answer, we will tell you that instead, and it costs you nothing at all.
What we do with what you tell us
We pass your name, your number and what you have told us to the one physiotherapist we match you with, and to nobody else. PhysioSetu keeps no medical record, no diagnosis and no prescription. Ask us to delete your details and we will.
